Carndonagh Tug-Of-War team had great success at the British and Irish tug-of-war Championships at Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar, Co. Mayo over the weekend.

Carndonagh had an excellent weekend winning gold in the 560kg weight and bronze in the 640kg weight.
The 560kg came down to a nerve biting final with Country Club, Northern Ireland as the Carn men’s opposition.
With each club holding strong it was Carn who stayed the distance and secured the win.
Jonathan Porter, Cathal Porter & Cathal McLaughlin all from Carn also pulled with Cuan Rithe, Co. Cork to secure bronze in the 660kg weight. Buncrana man Adrian Lynch also pulled on this team.
