LETTERKENNY’S SHAUNA MCFADDEN claimed a memorable victory in the McCann Cup in Omagh this afternoon – in only her third senior race.
The 16-year-old transition year student at Loreto Letterkenny – and formerly of Errigal Cycling Club – is with the Nicolas Roche Performance Cycling Team on a two-year deal.

She overcame experience in a sprint finish over the 50-mile course.
Last month, in her first senior outing, McFadden finished second in the annual George Rooney Phoenix Grand Prix Sponsored by Portview Fit-out Ltd. on the Nutt’s Corner Circuit in Belfast. She followed that up with a sixth place finish in Meath last week.
