It’s time to select this week’s Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s – and you have five choices.

Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jersey and a half-zip, supplied by O’Reilly’s.

The award winner will be chosen via a public vote from a shortlist selected by our panel.

O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.

Our poll closes at noon on Thursday.

Johnny Carlin (Red Hughs)

Johnny Carlin came off the bench to make a match-winning impact in Saturday’s Ulster Club JFC final. Carlin scored 1-2, including a memorable goal, as Red Hughs took the Ulster title thanks to a 1-11 to 1-9 win over Limavady.

Dominick Doherty (Keadue Rovers)

On a bitter Ballyare night on Sunday, Dominick Doherty lit up the Donegal Schoolboys Under-16 Champions League final. A stunning goal, Keadue’s second of the night, helped send the Gulls on their way to glory. Doherty’s wonder strike, from distance, flew to the Drumkeen net and gave Keadue the kick.

Niall Hannigan (St Eunan’s)

St Eunan’s proved too strong for Glenfin in Saturday’s U21 final in Ballybofey. St Eunan’s went in as the red-hot favourites and they had their tag justified thanks to Niall Hannigan’s hat-trick. Hannigan’s treble came within seven-and-a-half minutes of the start.

Chloe and Sam Magee (Raphoe)

Finally, Chloe and Sam Magee have tasted success at the Irish Open. The Raphoe siblings  defeated Harley Towler and Emily Westwood in straight sets in Saturday’s mixed doubles final in Dublin. The Magees won 21-13 21-12 to get their hands on the prize.

Dáire Ó Baoill (Gaoth Dobhair)

A 25-minute hat-trick by Daire O Baoill laid the foundations for Gaoth Dobhair to defeat Crossmaglen Rangers and reach the Ulster Club SFC final. O Baoill’s treble helped Gaoth Dobhair to lead by five points at half-time. As if his hat-trick wasn’t a good enough contribution, O Baoill stepped in with a superb block in the early stages of the second half.
