Natasha Craig’s three goals help Buncrana ladies into Ulster IFC semi-final

NATASHA CRAIG GRABBED a hat-trick as Buncrana set up an interesting Ulster Ladies’ Intermediate Football Championship against Steelstown from Derry the weekend after next.

Buncrana 4-12 St Paul’s B 3-6

Lawrence Hegarty and Brian Stokes’ team didn’t have it all their own way, as they trailed by two points, 2-4 to 1-5, at half-time on Saturday in Buncrana in their quarter-final against Antrim’s St Paul’s B.

Craig was their first half goalscorer and she grabbed two more after the break, while Michaela Mullan also found the net to give the Scarvey club victory in their first ever game in the provincial championship.

Now, on Sunday, October 11, Buncrana travel into Derry to take on Steelstown, who defeated Armagh’s Mullaghbawn 1-9 to 1-6 in the preliminary round away from home and then Trillick from Tyrone 3-9 to 2-9 on Sunday in their quarter-final.
