A very busy few days on the playing field this week with the beginning of schoolboy leagues, the Ulster Senior League and the U-19 League of Ireland.

Our Seniors went down to a disappointing 6-0 defeat to a strong Derry City reserves side in the League Cup. We have no game this weekend but are back in action on Sunday week( Sept 13th) when we host Swilly Rovers.

Our u19s lost out to Finn Harps 2-0 in the opening game of the season on Tuesday night at Finn Park The club can be proud of the boys performance and desire and hopefully Anthony Gorman’s side have a good season ahead.

We play our first home game against Dundalk also on Sunday week ( Sept 13th)

The Schoolboys League swung into action with 4 sides all at home.

Our u12s defeated Dunfanaghy Youths 10-0 with goals from Harry Winfield, Lorcan Harvey x4, Ben Cassidy x2, Kian McGrath x2 and Abraham Hassan.

Our u14 Rovers side defeated Gweedore United 9-0 with 2 goals apiece  from Ciaran Moore, Marty Duffy and Adam Yissau while Sean McGinley, Jake Fitzsimmons and Gerard Duffy also netted.

Our u14 Crusaders side lost out 8-1 to Keadue Rovers while our u16 side under new gaffer David Donnelly defeated Gweedore United 8-0.

Scorers in that one were Gabriel Aduaka, Michael Gallagher, Clinton Ipeagu and Rhys Mullin while Conor O’Donnell and Brandon Manues both scored two apiece.

This Saturday sees our u12s play in Bonagee at 1030am while Crusaders and Rovers clash in the u14s at Leckview at 1145am.

Our u16s play away to Kilmacrennan Celtic at 2pm..

The Donegal Youth League will commence on Saturday week ( Sept 12th) when we play Gweedore United at home.

The club would like to wish former player Dale Gorman all the best on his international call-up to the Northern Ireland u21s for Euro qualifiers against Scotland and Iceland this week.

Just a reminder to everyone that club members are actively selling our annual draw tickets in conjunction with the FAI. Tickets cost 10 euro and its one of the main fundraisers of the year. All support would be appreciated.

The club training schedule is available for all to view on our facebook page and any enquiries regarding same can be answered there.
