Scór na nÓg

A very entertaining night was had by all at the county final but unfortunately our dancers did not go through.

The county champions in Scór na nÓg 2015/’16 are outlined below.

Rince Foirne – Naomh Adhamhnáin

Amhránaíocht Aonair – Amy Ní Chléirigh, Naomh Adhamhnáin

Aithriseoireacht – Evan Carron Key, Aodh Rua Cúl na gCuirridín

Ceol Uirlise – Naomh Adhamhnáin

Léiriú Stáitse – Gaoth Dobhair

Baileád Ghrúpa – Gaoth Dobhair

Naomh Columba Tráth na gCeist team (County Champions) who go straight to the All Ireland finals of Scór na nÓg in Killarney as there is no Ulster final for the Tráth na gCeist competition.

This was the last county final of Scor for Con O Donnell and Cathaoirleach Bord na Contae CLG Dhún na nGall, Sean Dunnion gave a glowing speech about Con on the night which was fully deserved and it was nice to see Con getting this well earned recognition.

Condolences

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Breslin family on the recent passing of Mary. May she rest in peace.

Well done

Well done to the AVS Senior boys football team and management team who defeated Milford (Loreto Community School) on a scoreline of 4-19 to 5-12 after extra time in Convoy Centre of Excellence.

The club had 11 players starting or coming on during the game with other club players also part of the squad. They now await to the winners of the Rosses Community School and St Columba’s Glenties game in the semi final
