Local cyclist Amanda Gallagher has returned to Donegal as Irish under-16 Time Trial Champion for 2016 after competing at this year’s contest which was hosted by the O’Leary Stone Cycling Club in Kanturk, Co. Cork.
Amanda, from Dunlewey, has now won the Time Trial event at the National Championships three years in a row.
She also picked up silver medals in the Road Race and Criterium.
Next year sees Amanda move on to the Junior Circuit, after she competes for the Ulster Team at the UK Sainsbury School Games which will take place at the beginning of September in Leicestershire, East Midlands hosted by Loughborough University with 1600 of the best young athletes from UK and NI in action.
