SHAUNA MCFADDEN CONTINUED her excellent form in the saddle by winning the Peter Bidwell Memorial in Co Louth on Saturday.

The Letterkenny natuve is part of the Nicolas Roche Performance Team Magnet.ie and will take part in the Tour de Himmelfart in Denmark. She has has accepted an invitation to appear for Rytger, a Danish team at the event, which takes place from May 5-7.

Saturday’s race, which is run by the Drogheda Wheelers Club, consisted of 6.4km lap of eight circuits with McFadden posting her second win of the season.

Then, on Sunday in Dundalk, she was well-placed just one kilometre from the finish before being involved in a crash (pictured above by Hollywood – Shauna McFadden is No 88) but managed to finish out.
