Donegal kickboxers will be well represented on Saturday at Mayhem Martial Arts & Fitness’ ‘Showtime 5’ night at the White Horse Hotel in, Derry.

Kyle Mailey, Ryan O’Donnell, Hamayun Nassiry and Paul McNamee from Peak Physique in Letterkenny are on the bill, as are Letterkenny Muay Thai’s Ryan Fanneran and Rhys Boyle of PT Kickboxing.

Convoy man McNamee faces Mayhem’s own Ronan O’Kane in a title eliminator at 80kgs.

The undefeated McNamee is 3-0 and will be square up to O’Kane in the fight before the night’s main event.

The winner will go on to contest for a Mayhem Promotions title in November.

Nassiry scored an impressive win over Belfast’s Adam Craig in February. On Saturday night, he squares up to Mayhem’s Ciaran McBride in a contest matched at 62kgs.

It will be a debut for McBride, but Nassiry is in good form. The youngster, originally from Afghanistan, has been with Peak Physique for around six months and will be aiming to follow up his fine triumph in Belfast.

O’Donnell is up against Matt Norby at 85kgs. O’Donnell is said to be a ‘serious powerhouse with incredible stamina’ and this is his debut fight. O’Donnell, from a personal training background, has been training at Peak Physique for the last four months.

Nine-year-old Mailey takes on Rio Oxle in what promises to be anther top contest.

“We have put in a solid training camp for this show and we are all going out looking for the wins,” said Peak Physique coach Abdul El Absy.

“All the Derry fighters we are up against have good reputations and come from a top class gym in Derry so it won’t be easy but we put the time in the gym to be confident.”

PT Kickboxing’s Rhys Boyle will be up against Ethan Mullan. Boyle is no novice and took this fight at short notice.

Fannernan trains out of Tommy McCafferty’s Letterkenny Muai Thai stable and will make his K1 debut on Saturday when he faces another debutant in the form of Mayhem’s Dylan Harley.

Up for grabs on Saturday will be the Sean White Memorial Cup, to be awarded, along with £100 cash, to the Fighter of the Night.
