DUNLEWEY’S AMANDA GALLAGHER clinched her first junior win with success in the Netherlands on Saturday.
She was competing over the Halloween break with the Ladies 2020 Talent Team under the supervision of Orla Hendron, Sundrive Track, Dublin, the 2014 masters track world champion.
With just two days preparation and some expertise coaching from Herman Schenk at the Alkmaar Velodrome, 15-year-old Gallagher was moved up from the under-16’s to race the Omnium in the Junior Category and came away with her first Junior Win to finish of a fantastic season.
Amanda now takes a well deserved rest before training resumes in a number of weeks for the upcoming 2016 race calendar.
