FINN HARPS CONCLUDED their existence for the time being in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division with a defeat tonight at Dalymount Park against Bohemians.

Bohemians 3-1 Finn Harps

Ollie Horgan’s side were relegated last Saturday following a 3-0 win over for Sligo Rovers over Derry City and fell to their second defeat since, following a 3-2 home reversal on Monday at Drogheda United’s hands.

Tonight in Phibsborough, Harps found themselves three goals down, with Philly Gannon, Izzy Akinade and Jamie Hamilton all finding the net for the team managed by Keith Long.

Harps’ final goal of their top flight campaign was an own goal from Ian Morris on 75 minutes following a cross from Paddy McCourt.

Ciaran Gallagher, the Harps goalkeeper, was unfortunate with the opening goal on 29 minutes having saved from Gannon only for the Bohemians midfielder to gobble up the rebound.

Gallagher was beaten five minutes later but Harps got out of jail as, following a handball from Packie Mailey, Dinny Corcoran’s penalty struck the post.

On 61 minutes Bohemians went 2-0 in front when Akinade smashed home following a cross from Derek Pender and it was three just four minutes later with teenager Hamilton finishing well.

Bohemians: Colin McCabe; John Ross Wilson, Warren O’Hora (Georgie Poynton half-time), Dan Casey, Derek Pender; Patrick Kavanagh (Jamie Hamilton 36), Ian Morris, Oscar Brennan; Philly Gannon (Eoin Wearen, 70); Ismahil Akinade Dinny Corcoran
