Seven from seven Aodh Ruadh continue hot streak against Gaeil Fhánada

AODH RUADH WON for the seventh time from seven outings in the AllSportStore.com All-County Football League Division 3 against Gaeil Fhánada.

Michael Sweeney danced through the thin Aodh Ruadh rearguard before slamming home an unstoppable shot to Pete Boyle’s left to get the green flag flying on 16 minutes.

At half-time the visitors led 1-4 to 1-2 with Seamus ‘Nanny’ Friel also on the mark, with Peter Boyle in the Aodh Ruadh goal had also made an important save to deny Paul Coyle.

But points from Michael Ward, David McGurrin and goalkeeper Boyle got the hosts on track in the second half.

Then, David Dolan laid off to David McGurrin who stayed cool to place his shot past Brendan Friel to put a point between the sides.

However, Aodh Ruadh put together a five-point scoring burst crammed into four minutes which effectively ended the game as a contest.
