AMY BOYLE-CARR from Glenties was on the mark for the Republic of Ireland Women’s Under-16 side today.

Boyle-Carr, who plays for Donegal Town FC, was in the starting line-up along with Tyler Toland from St Johnston.

The Girls in Green recorded another impressive victory at the UEFA WU16 Development Tournament in Hungary today as they beat Bosnia & Herzegovina 3-0 in Buk.

Sharon Boyle’s side had beaten Slovakia 2-0 in their opening game on Sunday so the Irish coach was thrilled with how her players followed that performance up with an excellent three goal salvo.

The Irish went ahead in the 18th minute when Boyle-Carr steered home a header from a Tiegan Ruddy cross.

Ruddy then got on the score-sheet in the 51st minute when she burst through from midfield and found the Bosnian net with a thumping drive from 30 yards out.

Aoife Fennell wrapped up the scoring in the 66th minute when her corner curled straight into the opposition net.
