Are you ready for the Shamrock Challenge on the Fanad peninsula?

THE SHAMROCK CHALLENGE takes place on Easter Saturday, 26th March, from Kerrykeel and consists of two separate events on the one day – a 70k cycle and a 5k run/walk.


HQ for the event and registration will take place in Rabs Park Kerrykeel. The 70K cycle consists of three leafs of the Fanad Peninsula.

The first leaf is 12k, second leaf is 42k and the final leaf is 21k.  The cycle commences at 11am with registration from
9.30am. Cycle Fee is €30.  The 5k is a local flat fast course around Kerrykeel and commences at 1pm.

Registration from 12 noon. 5k Fee is €10.

Both races chipped timed by Elite Timing with prizes in each category.

The Shamrock Challenge is a Charity event based in and around the Fanad Peninsula organised to raise funds for three charities:
1) Meningitis Research Foundation,
2) Fanad Day Centre / Alzheimer’s Comfort Fund.
3) Rabs Park Community & Sports Facility, Kerrykeel
