DONEGAL went down to Dublin in a low-key Division 1 semi-final last night.
A first-half goal by Paddy Small helped Dublin to a 1-18 to 1-14 win in Cavan.
With the Division 1 final not taking place, this was something of a strange semi-final, one that lacked intensity and was entirely devoid of purpose.
Patrick McBrearty hit six points for Donegal while a late goal from Eoghan McGettigan helped to bring Declan Bonner’s men to within four by the conclusion.
