Watch: See Karen Guthrie’s goal as Donegal ladies defeat Dublin in Croke Park

Donegal and their captain Karen Guthrie started 2019 with a massive win over defending All-Ireland and League champions Dublin at Croke Park.

Donegal’s ladies were appearing at Croke Park for the first time since 2010 – when Guthrie and company won the All-Ireland Intermediate crown.

Although the Donegal squad has seen a number of key players depart of late, Maxi Curran’s team scored an excellent 1-11 to 1-7 win at headquarters.

Guthrie wasted no time in throwing down a marker – scoring a superb goal after five minutes. Guthrie scored 1-4 and was named as the Player of the Match. What about the delicious pass from Niamh Hegarty to tee up Guthrie?
