A goal in each half by Dublin terrier Niall Scully proved the undoing of Donegal in tonight’s Super 8 clash at Croke Park.

Scully scored his first goal on 27 minutes and, just two minutes into the second half, added a second three-pointer.

Donegal put it up to Dublin, but couldn’t get close enough in the second half to cause a stir with the Dubs winning 2-15 to 0-16.

Declan Bonner’s men were missing the influence of the injured Patrick McBrearty, but left feeling as if they hadn’t done themselves justice.
