Watch: Jason Quigley says he’s ready to fight ‘anyone, anywhere’

JASON Quigley says he’ll be ready to face ‘anyone, anywhere’ as the Donegal puncher gears up for his next fight.

This week, Eddie Hearn confirmed a desire to have Quigley (18-1, 14KOs) face Jack Cullen as part of the Dillian Whyte-Alexander Povetkin card on May 2 in Manchester.

Cullen (17-2, 8KOs) faces Tomas Andres Reynoso in a Sky Sports-televised card tonight in Manchester.

A win for Cullen – aiming to bounce back from a loss to Felix Cash in November – is likely to see Hearn advance talks for a bout with Quigley.

“I’m a middleweight, super-middleweight fighter and I’m ready for anyone in those two divisions,” Quigley said in an interview with Boxing Social this week.

“Jack Cullen, May 2, no problem, let’s go. Anyone at super-middle who wants a rattle, let’s go. I’m ready to rock and roll and I mean business.

“I’m in training hard, every single day. I know exactly what I want to get out of boxing and I know the goals I have set. I just want to get in, work my ass off and leave no stone unturned.”

Since linking up with former world champion Andy Lee, Quigley – who has lifted to number 14 on the WBC world rankings – has beaten Abraham Cordero and Fernando Marin via impressive stoppage wins in California either side of Christmas

Quigley said: “My mindset has changed. My style has tweaked. it has changed a small bit. We’ve put in a few adjustments. That is bringing on my power, my confidence, absolutely everything.”

The end goal has remained the same for former amateur star Quigley, who said: “I want to be world champion and I will be world champion. I’ll do what I have to do.”
