Watch: Inishowen League defeat Limerick District League on penalties to reach Oscar Traynor final

The Inishowen League reached their third Oscar Traynor Trophy final in dramatic fashion today with a penalty shoot-out win over Limerick District League at Maginn Park.

Terence Doherty’s equaliser, right at the end of extra time, cancelled out Kieran O’Connell’s goal earlier in the extra period following a scoreless 90 minutes.

Inishowen, who won this competition in 2015, will play Clare or Wexford in the final – which will be held at Maginn Park.

Goalkeeper Kevin McLaughlin saved two penalties in the shoot-out and, whil Nigel McMonagle saw his effort saved by Neville, Brendan McLaughlin, Sean Doherty, Michael Byrne and John Gerard McLaughlin all scored as Inishowen reached their third decider in five years.
