THE DONEGAL MOTOR CLUB, in association with Donegal Tourism, commissioned the production of a 30-minute documentary, ‘Donegal Has It All’, which aired last night.

Donegal Has It All showcased Donegal’s breathtaking scenery and tourism attractions through a focus on the Donegal International Rally, the 2016 running of which takes place next weekend.

“There is nowhere else that you get the same buzz,” said the defending Donegal International Rally champion Garry Jennings.

Former Donegal winners from the county Vincent Bonner, James Cullen and Declan Boyle feature on the show, as do winning navigators Seamus McGettigan, Rory Kennedy and Brian Boyle.

The Mayor of Donegal, Councillor Ciaran Brogan – who is set to compete in next week’s event – and the County Manager Seamus Neely also feature.

‘It’s the daddy of them all,’ Declan Boyle says of the rally.

McGettigan adds: “You won’t get any better stages than in Donegal. Everyone knows that.”

This year, 25 years on from his first winning of the Donegal International Rally in 1991, Cullen is back behind the wheel again.

A former Clerk of the Course, he says: “The amount of world-class drivers it has attracted is what its reputation is based on.”
