Marc Walsh featured as the Republic of Ireland Under-17s overcame Bosnia & Herzegovina today to reach the quarter-finals of the U17 European Championships.
The Loughanure man, who is on the books of Swansea City having signed last summer from Finn Harps, came on in the 75th minute.

The Ireland forward hit a smashing free kick over the wall and into the top corner of Luka Kacavenda’s net with Adam Idah’s late goal sealing Ireland’s place in the quarter finals. Idah’s goal increased his tally for the season to 9 goals from 9 games.
The Republic of Ireland now face the Netherlands in Monday’s quarter final. A time and venue will be confirmed by UEFA later this evening.
