FINN HARPS opened their Under-17 League with a 2-2 draw yesterday in an entertaining clash with rivals Derry City at Finn Park.

The side managed by Declan Boyle (pictured above) on 27 minutes when Sean McBride opened the scoring for the visitors before a penalty from Shane Blaney levelled it for Harps.

Harps then went in front before half-time with a brilliant goal from James McKinney.

However, on 62 minutes, Derry were level again when Jordan Ryan made it 2-2. All in all, a decent start for both sides.
