BRETT MCGINTY overcame Laszlo Kozak in Russia earlier to move into the quarter-finals of the European Youth Championships.
Irish captain McGinty was the superior fighter on his way to a unanimous win on the judges’ cards.
The win brings McGinty into the last eight and he fights Armenia’s Gurgen Madoyan tomorrow, where the prize in offer is the guarantee of, at least, a bronze medal.
