AFTER SHOWING A knack to bag vital winning goals, Julianne Herrity was named the South Atlantic Conference’s AstroTurf Player of the Week.

The Letterkenny native was in top form for Carson-Newman Eagles from Jackson, Tennessee side, scoring three goals in their opening two outings of the season, two of which were winning goals in 3-2 wins.

Herrity won the FAI Women’s Intermediate Cup in 2009 with Kilmacrennan Celtic.
