Video: Highlights and reaction as Naomh Colmcille reach first-ever IFC final

NAOMH COLMCILLE TURNED IN a heroic display to defeat Gaeil Fhánada and reach their first-ever Intermediate final yesterday.

Francie Martin’s team weren’t long in putting to bed any suggestions that they’d missed their chance in last weekend’s drawn encounter.

Eddie Gillespie’s 25th minute goal set them on their way and when the seeds of doubt were planted by Johnny Friel’s goal ten minutes from time, Naomh Colmcille summonsed the perfect response with goals from Mark Dowds and Conor Grant.

“We upped the ante and we absolutely stormed them,” Martin told Donegal Sport Hub after a 3-11 to 1-6 win at O’Donnell Park.

“We banked everything into the last ten minutes. It turned out fantastic.”

Onwards they march to a final meeting with Bundoran.
