The primary section of the Ulster FAIS held its AGM recently, in preparation for the 2017/18 school year.

School delegates heard secretarial, treasury and PRO reports on the night.  Looking forward to the 2017/2018 school year, the committee hopes to expand the “Programme of Games,” throughout the following regions, Inishowen, Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan.

Martin Robins, outgoing secretary, stepped down from his role after giving the Ulster Primary section many years of great service. All present on the evening thanked Martin for his work at provincial level and especially, at Inishowen Primary level.

The following competitions were held throughout Ulster during 2016/17, with some regions participating in more competitions than others. Competitions catered for boys and girls.

–          SPAR Primary 5s

–          Churchill Quarries Letterkenny Cup (11-a-side)

–          3rd & 4th Class Futsal Competition

Secretary: Pól Mac Giolla Bhríde, Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, Leitir Ceanainn.

Treasurer: Keiran Shiels, Woodlands NS, Letterkenny.

Asst. Treasurer: Aiden Friel, St. Patrick’s NS, Lurgybrack.

PRO: Ann Marie Meehan, St Blaithins NS, St. Johnston.

The following area REPS will help the committee promote and coordinate the programme of events:

Inishowen – Martin Robins

Cavan – To be filled
