Kilcar are Donegal SFC champions after a 0-7 to 0-4 win over 13-man Naomh Conaill in Ballybofey yesterday.

Leading 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time, Kilcar’s next score arrived via a magical Ryan McHugh effort in the 21st minute of the second half.

Both sides scored just one point in the second half, while Naomh Conaill saw Dermot Molloy and Eoghan McGettigan sent off in the closing stages.

Here’s how the world of Twitter reacted …

Kilcar were 100% right to hold onto it in the 2nd half . If NC want to stick with 14 behind the ball and them losing by 3/4 then fine .

Shocking game today, Kilcar won't care, can't blame glenties for going defensive either after last year, game still terrible tho

Half time in the Donegal Co Final Kilcar 0-6 Naomh Conail 0-3. As a neutral it's dire stuff

Kilcar won't care but that was desperate stuff….

Two points in the entire second half of the Donegal county final. Fair play to Kilcar, but Donegal football needs a reality check.
