Michael Murphy delivered a performance for the ages last night to inspire Donegal to victory over Meath in the Division 2 final.

Murphy helped to haul Donegal back from the brink.

Declan Bonner’s men were 1-6 to 0-1 behind as Meath stunned them with an early salvo.

Murphy hit seven points and played a huge role in Jamie Brennan’s goal as Donegal won 1-17 to 1-15.

Murphy’s display had Twitter purring …

I’m not one to exaggerate, BUTTTTTTTTT; If Michael Murphy would have ever contested a high ball with Andre the giant,(RIP) he would have come out on top. ??#unrealfielder #MEATHvDON #Donegal— Tony McGettigan (@Tonymac07) March 30, 2019

Michael Murphy is some player.
Great display v Meath.
Even Corofin team or Dublin team would have him as their full forward.— Paraic Farrelly 1 (@FarrellyParaic1) March 30, 2019
