As the season begins to wind down the National Series race in Lough Key, Co. Roscommon was another chance for those club members chasing points to gain a few more in order to progress up the National Series rankings.
For others it was another day out, racing in great surroundings, in a race that has always been popular among 24/7 club members (pictured above). The sprint distance race with 400 entrants took place in and around the Lough Key lake and forest park near Boyle.
Triona McMenamin was highest placed for the club in the ladies race placing fifth and first in her age group. Jack Brennan, Orlaith Fogarty and Sean McFadden were also successful in the age group categories. Jack winning 1st in his group and Orlaith and Sean third in theirs. Congratulations to Lester Speer and Conor Sweeney who completed their first Sprint distance.
Club training schedules can be seen on wwwletterkenny247.com or on the clubs Facebook page.
