Donegal football ace Patrick McBrearty took to Instagram to thank the many well wishers who have send him good luck messages since his horror knee injury last week.
McBrearty’s season is over after he sustained a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during last Sunday’s Ulster final.
McBrearty has undergone surgery and faces up to a year out of action.
The Kilcar man had been in scintillating form until then and was Donegal’s top scorer in League and Championship.
“Thanks to everyone for the messages over the last week, tough one to take but looking forward to the challenge ahead,” McBrearty wrote in the post.
