Three Letterkenny Institute of Technology footballers have been selected as Gourmet Food Parlour Rising Stars.

LyIT reached the Moynihan Cup final last week, losing out to Dundalk IT in Friday’s decider, but the Port Road institute has been rewarded with three representatives.

Donegal senior footballers Aoife McColgan and Aisling Nee are included on the Rising Stars 15.

They are joined by Clare native Emma McMahon, who is chosen at right half-forward.

GMIT, the Donaghy Cup winners, lead the way with four players on this team, while there are three players each for Moynihan Cup winners Dundalk IT, Moynihan Cup runners-up Letterkenny IT and Lagan Cup winners Ulster University Magee.

Marino Institute of Education, the beaten Donaghy Cup Finalists, have two players on the list.
