THREE DONEGAL PLAYERS have been nominated for Ladies All-Star awards.

Termon sharp-shooter Geraldine McLaughlin (pictured above) is nominated among the forwards while defenders Treasa Doherty and Ciara Hegarty are also listed on the shortlist of 45 players.

The TG4 All Ireland Finalists, Cork and Dublin, are both well represented in the list with the TG4 All Ireland Champions Cork receiving 11 nominations whilst Dublin have 10 players nominated.

Donegal had a superb season, during which they won their first-ever Ulster Senior Ladies Championship title when they defeated Monaghan.

Earlier in the year, they lost out to Armagh in the Division 2 League final while the Orchard ended their All-Ireland hopes at the quarter-final phase.

McLaughlin was again to the fore with scores while Carndonagh’s Doherty and Moville clubwoman Hegarty shone at the back for Davy McLaughlin’s team.

The LGFA TG4 All Star award winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Citywest Hotel on November 14th.
