Three Donegal players have been named on the Lidl Ladies GAA Team of The League from Division 1 after a superb spring for the Tir Chonaill women.

Michael Naughton’s team reached the Division 1 final for the first time in the county’s history, losing narrowly to Cork in the Parnell Park decider.

Donegal were in their first term back in Division 1 this year and they took it by storm.

Karen Guthrie, Yvonne McMonagle (both Glenfin) and Geraldine McLaughlin (Termon) have been selected on the Team of the League.

Donegal are in preparation for an Ulster SFC semi-final against Armagh on June 10th.

Lidl Division 1 Team of the League: Yvonne Byrne (Mayo); Marie Ambrose (Cork), Olwen Carey (Dublin), Aislinn Desmond (Kerry); Aoife McAnespie (Monaghan), Noelle Healy (Dublin), Sinead Burke (Galway); Caroline O’Hanlon (Armagh), Karen Guthrie (Donegal); Yvonne McMonagle (Donegal), Aimee Mackin (Armagh), Carla Rowe (Dublin); Eimear Scally (Cork), Geraldine McLaughlin (Donegal), Orla Finn (Cork).
