Finn Valley AC’s Mark Hoy delivered his third senior Ulster title on Saturday at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast.

Blustery conditions didnt deter the Enniskillen Physio who has worked extremely hard with his coach in recent years to continue to improve.

This time it was the 800m.

Adding to what was a reasonably good day for Valley, John Kelly won the shot, low 16m plus and Jade Leeper – who now works at Finn Valley – took the discus title 33.19m.

Sommer Lecky at 1.70m is the new senior high jump champion.

In the underage junior section toppping the list were James Kelly 17.98m shot. while Shane Irwin with a 48 low 400m is the new u 20 champion.

There were many other medal performances as we now look forward to Ulster u14-17s at Antrim on Saturday and the Kelly lads plus Gavin McLaughlin are in Bedford this weekend for the English Championships.

Sinead McConnell is in Horwich, England chasing a British masters walk title.

It’s a particularly busy period with the Donegal masters at Finn Valley AC on Sunday
