JOHN KELLY finished third in last night’s European Classic Grand Prix in Sweden.
The Finn Valley AC shot putter reached out to 17.66 metres.
All of the St Johnston man’s throws were in excess of 17m.
Kelly remained in Sweden following his exploits at the weekend when he broke the Finn Valley, Donegal and Ulster shot putt records when he threw 17.79 metres in Bottnaryd.
World Under-20 silver medalist Sommer Lecky was also in action last night in Karlstad.
Lecky jumped a best attempt of 1.77m.
