The Finn Harps Kelly’s Toyota School Programme launches Academic Year 2015-2016

The Finn Harps Schools Committee and their main sponsor Brendan Kelly, Kelly’s Toyota, Letterkenny & Mountcharles, are delighted and excited to launch the Finn Harps Schools Programme of events for the coming Primary School Academic Year.

“We are very excited that the 2015 / 2016 Schools programme will build on what was delivered last year to the primary schools throughout the entire county,” sais Paddy Harte, Chairman of the Finn Harps Schools Programme.

The Programme also provides ongoing training for all Coaches to the highest standard and will continue during 2015 / 2016 Academic Year. The Eat Right Play Right initiative, which was launched three years ago by Donegal Sports Partnership and the Finn Harps Schools Programme is a major part of the nutritional aspect of the programme.

The programme kicks off with an initial school visit to all participating schools this month. In November, a Kelly’s Toyota Skills Competition will be held at Kelly’s Toyota Showroom, details will be circulated to the schools and families over the coming weeks. Also in November over 300 primary school children who will be given free tickets to the FAI Cup in Aviva stadium Dublin.

January 2016 will see the launch of the Finn Harps Schools Programme Road Safety Competition. Building on last year we hope to see as many as 1,200 Primary School Children participating in this competition, which is in association with Donegal County Council and the Donegal Road Safety Working Group.

The judging of the competition will take place in Feb 2016 when we will have at least six overall winners from various Road Safety categories.

April 2016, tThe Kelly’s Toyota, Finn Harps Schools Programme will host the 2nd and 4th Class Soccer Finale competition at Finn Park, Ballybofey. In May 2016 the annual Fran Fields Kelly’s Toyota Sponsored cup will take place at Finn Park, Ballybofey.

And to round off the season the F.A I Summer Soccer School will take part in July 2016. The programme will also host a series of other events throughout the year and all details will be published on their facebook page.

I have seen it first hand from last season and we are proud to be so involved.”
