Termon and Milford to contest All-Ireland ladies sevens

TERMON’S ALL-CONQUERING LADIES will tackle the All-Ireland Senior 7-A-Side in Dublin this afternoon.

Francie Friel’s team retained their Donegal senior ladies crown when they overcame their old rivals from Glenfin and are now looking forward to defending their Ulster and All-Ireland crowns.

First up, though, they will participate in the Sevens, with a star-studded panel set to represent the Burn Road outfit.

The Termon panel is: Laura Gallagher, Lauren McElwaine, Therese McCafferty, Petra McCafferty, Geraldine McLaughlin, Nicole McLaughlin, Niamh Friel, Roisin Friel, Maureen O’Donnell, Emer Gallagher, Shannon McGroddy, Maria Carr.

Termon are in Group 6 alongside Ath Bhriain (Down), Timahoe (Laois), Clonbur (Galway) and Banner (Clare).

Milford will compete in Group 5 and have been drawn against St Brigid’s (Laois), Maynooth (Kildare), Kilmovee (Mayo) and Clonakilty (Cork).

Milford panel: Niamh Carr, Orla McAteer, Caoimhe Barrett, Claire Murray, Lianne Boyce Amber Barrett, Karen Peoples, Roisin Boyce, Aoife Donnelly, Niamh Gallagher, Aisling McHugh.
