St Michael’s seek applications for new senior team manager

ST MICHAEL’S will have Christy Toye and Colm McFadden available for the whole club year in 2017 – and the club has confirmed that it is seeking applications for a new senior manager.

McFadden’s inter-county retirement was confirmed last August in the wake of Donegal’s All-Ireland quarter-final loss to Dublin, while Rory Gallagher, the Donegal manager, announced yesterday that Toye had called it a day, too.

The duo are the top two in Donegal’s all-time appearance list with 170 and 163 games played – but now they return to The Bridge to give the club their full commitment.

Eddie Harkin had been in charge of St Michael’s in 2016. In 2015 and ’16, he had Declan Bonner, the Donegal under-21 manager, as part of his backroom team.

St Michael’s didn’t get out of their group in the Donegal SFC with Kilcar and St Eunan’s advancing to the quarter-finals.

The Creeslough-Dunfanaghy outfit are now seeking applications for a new manager.

The club confirmed:

CLG Naomh Micheal are seeking applications for the position of Senior Manager.

Applications must be submitted in writing to Ann Marie Kelly, Secretary, CLG Naomh Micheal, Creeslough, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal or via email to secretary.stmichaels.donegal@gaa.ie

Closing date for applications is Monday 23 January 2017
