St Michael’s notes – what’s happening at The Bridge this week

Both teams were away to Dungloe in Division 1 in Division 1 of the All County League on Sunday .

The seniors were defeated on a scoreline of Dungloe 2-11 St. Michael’s 1-5.

The St. Michaels Team and Scorers were: Ciaran Gallagher; Brendan Rodden, Steven Doak, Cristopher McElhinney; Liam Paul Ferry, Michael McGinley, Michael Gallagher (0-1); Martin McElhinney, Ciaran Gallagher; Michael Langan, Oisin Langan (0-1), Lee Carr (1-2); Odhran McFadden, Michael Cannon (0-1), Andrew Kelly.  Sub: Kieran Kelly for McFadden.

The Reserves were also defeated on a scoreline of Dungloe 3-5 St. Michael’s 1-9.

The St. Michael’s Scorers were: Raymond McLaughlin 1-5, Stephen Coyle 0-3 and Keelan McGee 0-1.

Both teams are at home to Ardara on Easter Monday with the throw ins at 1.30pm and 3pm.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday Night last; The numbers drawn were 5,8,9,14,17,18.  The Match 5 winner was Kevin Ward Figart Dunfanaghy.  This weeks Jackpot be €3050. The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.

The Club would like to thank Boyces Centra in Dunfanaghy for allowing club members to sell tickets in the store on Friday last.

Tickets are on sale in local businesses in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough and at the Bingo Session in Massinass Community Centre Creeslough on Sunday evenings, tickets for the St. Michaels Mini Lotto can now also be purchased on line anywhere at at onlinelotto on facebook .

Drive Home in Style from the Bingo in Creeslough

The winner of the €100 on the 5th game at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre on Sunday night last was James Sayers Errooery Falcarragh;  the €100 on the 9th game was won by Niamh Sweeney Creansmear.

You could win a car on every game every Sunday night at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre Creeslough by winning a house on 45 nos or less.  Check on 45 Numbers or less with the magic number in the panel and the lucky number drawn in the first five numbers of that game, you win the car or €10,000.  The normal Snowball is also in place every night. The Magic Number from 1 to 90 is drawn out every Sunday night before the bingo begins.  The car was in play last Sunday night but was not won. In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €3050.  The single book is €8. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre.

St. Michael’s Lotto Rota

The names for the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto Rota for this Saturday night the  26th March Dunfanaghy Nicola Ferry and Andrea Boyce, Creeslough Ollie Rodden; 2nd April Dunfanaghy Eamon McGinley and Cairns Witherow, Creeslough Michael McGinley.

Registration

March 31st is the final submission date to Croke Park for all senior registrations for players and club members.  Tickets for Donegal games can only be secured for full members of club.
Anyone who has not yet registered can get an application form in Creeslough Post  Office and must contact either Suzi Roarty on 087 2849214 or Ann Marie Kelly on 087 9454107 this week.

 

SOS for Photographs!
Nicola is currently gathering photographs for the clubhouse. If anyone has ANY team photographs from winning senior, reserve, u21 or any underage teams in league/championship/Gaeltacht she would really appreciate if you let her know. All hard copies of the photos will be returned to you safely once we make a copy of them or likewise photos can be emailed to secretary.stmichaels.donegal@gaa.ie
Please spread the word as the team photos required date back to 1967!!

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michael’s Minor Board

U14s

Training now takes place every FRIDAY evening at the Bridge @7pm . The bus is €3 and leaves Creeslough at 6.30pm .

Note : Everyone must be registered with the Club before either training or playing in matches takes place . Registration Is €15 and forms can be got in Creeslough Post Office or by contacting Suzi or Ann Marie Kelly.

U16s
Matches for the U 16s does not take place until after the Junior Cert Exams in June. Players will be advised when training commences by the manager –Martin.

Minors
St Michael’s played Milford at home at the Bridge last Monday evening and came out convincing winners. Well done to all involved.
Parish League
The Parish League begins on Sunday April 3rd. More details later .We will need help with the teams, refereeing games, in the tea rooms and on the gate.

Well Done

Well done to Ciara McGarvey and Marcella Dolan who were part of the Donegal Under 14 Girls team that defeated Fermanagh last weekend.
