St Michael’s notes – Sports day for Minor Board is on this Sunday

Our annual Sports Day in aid of the Minor Board will take place on Sunday, August 2.

All donations and or prizes for the raffle would be greatly appreciated, as this is the only fundraiser for the minor board. Please contact Manus Friel on 0876470532, Anne Marie Kelly 087 9454107 or Margaret Anne 087 6207919.

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last; The numbers drawn were 1,2,5,9,11,12.  There were two Match 5 winners, Darren, Rachel, and Odhrán McElhinney Dunmore Falcarragh and Rosie Rodden Creeslough.

This week’s Jackpot be €5400. The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.

Tickets are on sale in local businesses in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough and at the Bingo Session in Massinass Community Centre Creeslough on Sunday evenings, tickets for the St. Michaels Mini Lotto can now also be purchased on line anywhere at at onlinelotto on facebook .

Drive Home in Style From The Bingo in Creeslough

You could win a car on every game every Sunday night at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre Creeslough by winning a house on 45 nos or less.

A number from 1 to 90 will be drawn out of a draw just prior to the Bingo commencing and if that number comes out in the first five numbers of any game on the night the Car or €10,000 is in play and if that house is claimed on 45 nos or less including the number drawn, then the car is won. The Normal Snowball also in play every night.  In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €5400.

There is also a Monthly Draw with the 1st prize of a Television; the draw for the Television will take place at the Bingo Session in Creeslough on this Sunday the 2nd August.

Tickets for the television are €2 each or 3 for €5, Tickets are also available from committee members. free ticket with every Bingo Book purchased or 2 with a double book.  Free draw every night at the Bingo for some great spot prizes, 1 entry with single book, 2 with double book.  The single book is €8 and double €12, both books include snowball page. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre.

The €150 on the snowball game at the Bingo session on Sunday night last was won by Sarah Ann Ferry Murroe.  The winner of the Door Prize was Tommy Gallagher Fanmore who took a Bingo Book and a Lotto Ticket.  This weeks Snowball will be €400.

Lotto Rota

The St. Michael’s Lotto Rota for this week is as follows: 1st August Dunfanaghy Liam Paul Ferry, Danny Langan and Andrew Coll, Creeslough John Sheridan and Neil Toye. Anyone who is unable to carry out this very important job for the club is asked to get a replacement on the night.

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

Smashing Time

Anyone with any old crockery/ cracked cups should leave them at the Portacabin in Creeslough as they will be needed for our annual Sports Day.

Under 8’s

Training continues on Tuesday’s from 6pm to 7pm at The Bridge with the bus leaving Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp.  €3 for the bus, Gumshields essential. Training resumes on Tuesday 4th August at the Bridge.

Our under 8’s will be playing on Sunday the 2nd August at the Sports Day in Creeslough, more details later.

Under 10’s

Well done to our under 10 teams who travelled to Dungloe last Saturday morning to take part in a blitz as part of the Mary From Dungloe Festival.  They played teams from Dungloe, Naomh Mhuire and Gweedore.  St. Michael’s narrowly lost in winning the Patrick Gerald Gallagher Memorial Cup, after great displays of football and some fine wins.

Congratulations to our player Jimmy Brennan who was named Player of the Tournament.  A great day was had by all and we thank the hosts for the beautiful medals and lovely refreshments.

Under 12’s

The A’s had a comfortable win away to Fanad last Monday evening in very wet conditions and the B’s narrowly lost but are improving with each outing.

We are planning friendly with Termon and we also have challenge games lined up against St Eunan s and Fanad Gael’s are coming to play a girls team in the coming weeks. So we have plenty more football lined up for the summer.

Training is scheduled for next Wednesday evening August the 5th from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Bridge.

Under 13’s

Matches are planned to begin at the end of August

Under 14’s

Well done to our u14 boys who had a great win away in Milford last Fri evening.

Under 15’s

Good luck to our 10 man panel travelling to Downings on Sunday morning August 2nd, to take part in the North West Og Sport Competition.

Under 16’s

The Under 16’s played Naomh Colmcille in the first game of the championship last Monday night at the Bridge.  The boys won well after a great effort from everyone.
