St Michael’s notes – Seniors and Minors win away to Glenfin

Both teams were away to Glenfin on Sunday last in Group 3 of the County Championship and both recorded good victories.

The seniors won on a scoreline of Glenfin 1-9. St. Michael’s 2-8.  The St. Michael’s Scorers were: Colm McFadden 1-3, Andrew Kelly1-0, Michael Langan 0-2, Ryan Langan, Daniel McLaughlin, Raymond McLaughlin 0-1each.

The Seniors play Malin in the quarter Finals.

Our Reserves also came through as group winners.  With the seniors already qualified the reserves had to win to qualify and Lee Carr made sure that a win was going to be the only result scoring 2-5 with a good team performance.  The final score was Glenfin 1-5 St. Michael’s 5-11.

The team and scorers were: Dean Fleming, Peter Sweeney, Neil Toye, James Henry 0-1, John Sheridan, Denis Trearty, Barry McGinley, Lorcan McDaid 0-1, Kieran Kelly 0-1, Keelan McGee 2-0, Stephen Coyle 0-3, Brendan Devine 1-1, Lee Carr 2-5, Raymond McLaughlin, Paul Creamer.

The Reserves meet Four Masters in the Quarter Final.

Both seniors and reserves are away to Dungloe this weekend, check fixtures for day and time.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto €5650 this week

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last; The numbers drawn were 1,2,3,10,13,14.  There were 27 4 Match no 5 winners. 28 people matched 4 and their names were drawn; the winner of the €100 was Claire Sterling.  This weeks Jackpot be €5650. The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.   

Tickets are on sale in local businesses in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough and at the Bingo Session in Massinass Community Centre Creeslough on Sunday evenings, tickets for the St. Michaels Mini Lotto can now also be purchased on line anywhere at at onlinelotto on facebook .

Drive Home in Style From The Bingo in Creeslough

You could win a car on every game every Sunday night at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre Creeslough by winning a house on 45 nos or less.  

A number from 1 to 90 will be drawn out of a draw just prior to the Bingo commencing and if that number comes out in the first five numbers of any game on the night the Car or €10,000 is in play and if that house is claimed on 45 nos or less including the number drawn, then the car is won.

The Normal Snowball also in play every night.  In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €5600.  There is also a Monthly Draw with the 1st prize of a Television; Tickets for the television are €2 each or 3 for €5, Tickets are also available from committee members. free ticket with every Bingo Book purchased or 2 with a double book.  

The draw for the TV takes place on this Sunday night the 6th September at the Bingo in Creeslough. Free draw every night at the Bingo for some great spot prizes, 1 entry with single book, 2 with double book.  The single book is €8 and double €12, both books include snowball page.

Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre. The €150 on the snowball game at the Bingo session on Sunday night last was won by Mary Coll Falcarragh.  The winner of the Door Prize was Vincent Greer Hornhead Road Dunfanaghy who took a Bingo Book and a Lotto Ticket.  This weeks Snowball will be €1000.

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michaels Minor Board

Smashing Time

Anyone with any old crockery/ cracked cups should leave them at the Portacabin in Creeslough as they will be needed for our annual Sports Day.

Sports Day

The annual Sports Day in aid of the Minor Board will now take place on the 13th September. More details to follow.  All donations and or prizes for the raffle would be greatly appreciated, can you please keep this date free as this is the only fundraiser for the minor board. All players must be registered to take part in training or play games.  To registrar contact your manager or Suzi Roarty on 087 2849214.

Cup/Mugs

Thank you to all those who donated cups and mugs which is greatly appreciated, however we could still do with more donations please.

Under 8’s

Training continues on Tuesday’s from 6pm to 7pm at The Bridge with the bus leaving Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp.  €3 for the bus, Gumshields essential.

Under 12’s

Training will now run on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7.00pm at the Bridge.

Bus leaves Creeslough at 5.45pm sharp. €3 for the bus.  Gumshields essential. Some more challenge games will be planned.

Under 16’s

The under 16’s match away to Fanad Gaels in Round 3 of the Championship on Monday the 31st August was postponed until a later date.
