St Mary’s, Convoy clinch Division 4 League title with big away win

St Mary’s, Convoy, secured the Division 4 title in style this evening with a big win in Carndonagh.

Carndonagh 0-1 St Mary’s, Convoy 4-10

Laurence McMullan’s team needed a point at Fodden, but a four-goal haul brought the silverware back in style.

Carndonagh scored just once over the hour and the game was long over by the break when St Mary’s were 2-3 to 0-0 ahead.

It has been a fine season for St Mary’s, who lost just one game.

With the Junior B title already won, St Mary’s also have a Junior A semi-final against Red Hughs to look forward to – and are eyeing up more silverware.

Anthony Browne (2), Benny Bonner and Paddy Dolan – from a penalty – bagged the goals for the Convoy residents.
