ST JOHNSTON have been given a plum draw in the 2021 North West Senior Cup.

The Saints have been drawn at home to NW Senior Cup holders Donemana.

St Johnston will welcome Donemana to the Railway Road on July 17.

The eight winners will go into the quarter-finals while the eight losers will enter the Sammy Jeffrey Shield.

NW Senior Cup draw: Coleraine v Bonds Glen, The Nedd v Bready, Strabane v Ardmore, Burndennett v Eglinton, Brigade v Fox Lodge, St Johnston v Donemana, Ballyspallen v Killyclooney, Newbuildings v Glendermott

St Johnston lost by seven wickets to Donemana last month in the T20 competition, the Saints making 139 for the loss of seven wickets and Donemana reaching 140-3 in reply.

In the semi-final of the T20 Sperrin Springs Cup, St Johnston – who finished third in their group – will face Glendermott, with Killyclooney taking on Coleraine in the other game.

Last weekend, St Johnston defeated Ballyspallen by five wickets.

‘Spallen made 150-7 with Luke Gilfillan hitting 32 runs and Damith Perea, the Sri Lankan profession, grabbing an unbeaten 27.

Scott Macbeth clipped a fine 65 in response with Sabin’s 22 and Jack Macbeth’s 21 helping the Saints to get the required tally with just five balls remaining.
