ST EUNAN’S saw off Carrickmore to earn a place in the Paddy McLarnon Premier Electrics U21 Ulster Club Football Tournament yesterday.

Conor O’Donnell’s goal saw St Eunan’s ease to an impressive eight-point win.

Conor O’Donnell, Brian MacIntyre and Sean Breen hit quick fire points to get St Eunan’s off the mark in style.

Oisin Toal, Shane O’Donnell and Conor O’Donnell had them five up when the goal arrived.

Somehow, Cormac Finn spotted Conor O’Donnell’s darting run and an inch-perfect pass saw O’Donnell take receipt and fire home.

When Aaron Deeney fired over late in the first half, St Eunan’s led by six points.

Stephen Grogan kept Carrickmore in touch, Eóin McGeehin’s double ensured that St Eunan’s maintained their dominance.

St Eunan’s goalkeeper Eoin O’Boyle saved well from Ciaran Cuddy as Carrickmore attempted to launch a comeback.

McGeehin (2), Pádraig McGettigan and Peter McEniff stretched the margin after Grogan and Darragh Loughran inched Carrickmore back, but the Letterkenny side held firm for a comfortable win.

St Eunan’s: Eoin O’Boyle, Sean Halvey, Darragh Toal, Aaron Deeney (0-2), Anthony Gallagher, Sean Ryan, Cormac Finn, Sean McGettigan, Oisín Toal (0-1), Brian MacIntyre (0-1), Shane O’Donnell (0-1), Kevin Kealy, Conor O’Donnell (1-4, 2f, 1’45), Sean Breen (0-1), Eóin McGeehin (0-4).
