Another huge week of success for the club at underage level as our U-12 footballers clinched the County title on Saturday last, defeating Buncrana in the final.

The Boys U-14 footballers then added a fourth title to their collection for the year with winning the Northern Championship Final against Gaoth Dobhair on Monday evening on a scoreline of 7-08 to 0-05, having beaten Convoy comfortably last Friday evening in the semi final.  Well done to the players and coaches on both teams.

The Senior hurlers got their first victory in this year’s Championship, beating Buncrana 6-14 to 1-06 in a very impressive performance.

This Sunday evening sees the return of the Senior and Reserve football championships as our reigning County Champions host Naomh Conaill in the Park this Sunday evening at 4.30 and 6pm.  All support most welcome for both teams.

The Junior Footballers moved four points clear at the top of Div. 5 when they defeated Glenswilly in a fine comeback victory, winning 1-10 to 1-05.  The boys are back in action in the Junior B Championship this Saturday evening at home to Convoy, all support welcome.

Hard luck to the Minor Boys football team who were narrowly defeated in the Northern Championship final on Monday evening against Gaoth Dobhair, losing out in unfortunate circumstances by 1-10 to 0-11.

The U-16 Hurlers continued their good form defeating Carndonagh last week and are home this Thursday against MacCumhaills in the final round of the league with a win required to be certain of a league semi final place in the A competition.

The U-16 boys football team face Letterkenny Gaels next Monday, August 24th away in the Championship with the Dev. Team at home to Naomh Colmcille, both games set for 7.30pm.e U-12 hurlers also had a good win over Carndonagh last Thursday.

Under 16 hurling training continues Tuesdays at 5pm and U-12 training also on Tuesdays at 5.30pm.  New hurlers are always welcome to come along and try out the worlds fastest outdoor game.

The Hurling Cúl Camp ran last week and it was a great success with great numbers turning out over the five days.  Many thanks to the coaches, organisers and to everyone who helped make it a most enjoyable week for our children.  Special thanks to Anne Forde who done a brilliant job as always in making sure everything ran smoothly.

Best of luck to players Rose Boyle and Kaneshia McKinney and to Alan O’Connell, John Hession and Tony Blake who are part of the management team as Donegal take on Armagh in the All Ireland Ladies Senior Championship quarter final in Clones this Saturday in Clones at 12.30pm.
