Congratulations to Senior Ladies players Rose Boyle and Kaneshia McKinney and to mentors Alan O’Connell, John Hession and Tony Blake who were all involved with the Donegal Ladies’ historic first ever Ulster SFC winning team, beating Monaghan in Sunday’s final.
Well done also our U-21 hurlers (pictured above) Stephen Doherty, Conor O’Grady, Kevin Meehan, Aaron O’Connell, Francis Lennon, Caoimhin Lennon, Conor Parke and Niall O’Donnell, to manager Paddy Flood and mentors Paddy Lennon, Tom Hennessy and physio Conal McGinley who were all part of the All Ireland (c) winning team who beat Tyrone 1-11 to 0-11 on Sunday.
The Junior Footballers secured a vital Championship victory in Downings on Saturday winning 1-12 to 0-08 to keep their hopes of qualification alive. Jake Whelan turned in a brilliant hour finishing with a tally of 1-04. They face Glenfin on Sunday at 1.30pm at home in their vital last group game.
The U-16 hurlers had a good win over Strabane last week and face Burt away on Thursday at 6.30pm.
The U-16 boys football team had a brilliant 5-08 to 1-03 win over Carndonagh in their first Championship outing on Monday evening. The Dev. team were defeated at Fanad Gaels by 4-12 to 0-09. The Div.1 team host Glenswilly next Monday evening while the Dev. side travel to St. Michael’s, both throwing in at 7.30pm.
The U-14 boys footballers are home to Urris in their third Championship group game this Friday evening at 7.30pm.
Well done the the U-12 girls football team who won their blitz in Glenfin over the weekend.
Well done also the the U-10 girls footballers who represented the Club brilliantly in the half time games at Sunday’s Ulster Senior Ladies Final.
The U-12 hurlers continued their excellent league form with a fine away win over Four Masters and will face Burt in the Park this Thursday at 6.30pm.
U-16 Hurling training continues every Tuesday at 5pm and U-12 training, Tuesdays at 5.30pm. New hurlers, beginners or experienced are always welcome.
Good luck to Maxi, Eamonn, Sean and Conor and the Donegal Senior Footballers who face Galway in Croke Park this Saturday.
For anyone not travelling to Croke Park, the Clubhouse will be open on Saturday from 3.30pm onwards.
