The Under-14 Boys Football Team make the headlines once again this week after clinching the All County Division 1 League title on Sunday.
The boys (pictured above) turned in a fantastic team performance to overcome Urris on a scoreline of 8-17 to 4-03. Well done to Joe, John, Pauric and all the players on securing their third title of the season.
Well done to our two Under 16 players who played for the Ulster Academy teams last week. Aaron Deeney lined out for the Footballers in a challenge against Dublin while Ryan Hilferty hurled against Galway. A great achievement by both players.
The Senior hurlers are away to Buncrana in the Championship this Saturday, throwing in at 7.30pm.
The Senior footballers drew with Four Masters at the weekend 1-11 to 3-05 with Lee McMonagle getting the goal from the penalty spot.
The Junior Footballers are home to Glenswilly in Division 5 this Saturday at 7pm.
Hard luck to our Senior Ladies who were defeated by Termon in the County semi-final on Sunday past.
Well done to the minor football team who defeated Glenswilly in the Northern Championship on Monday evening, winning by 4-14 to 2-04.
The Uder-16 Footballers are away to Letterkenny Gaels next Monday in the Championship at 7.30pm. The Development team host Naomh Colmcille, also at 7.30pm.
The Under- 16 hurlers had a fine win away at Aodh Ruadh last weekend and are away to Carndonagh this week.
The Under-14 Boys footballers host Convoy in the Championship this Friday at while the Development team are away to Fanad Gaels, both games at 7pm.
The Under-12 hurlers had a bye last week and are home to Carndonagh this Thursday.
Under-16 hurling training continues on Tuesdays at 5pm and U-12 training is also on Tuesdays, at 5.30pm. New hurlers always welcome to come along and try out the world’s fastest outdoor game.
Hard luck to our representatives on the Donegal Senior Football and Under 21 Hurling teams who both suffered Championship defeats over the weekend.
Please note the Hurling Academy is currently on a break and will re-commence on Friday, August 21st.
