St Eunan’s notes – Seniors defeat Bundoran with decent second half

The Senior footballers beat Bundoran on Monday in a tough encounter with a big second half performance paving the way. The Reserves had a walk-over after Bundoran didn’t field.

The Senior hurlers had a good win over Aodh Ruadh BS on Monday in the Táin league Div. 2B and they host Sean Treacy’s this Sunday in the Park. Throw-in at 4pm.

The Senior Ladies will begin their 13-a-side league campaign shortly with their first home game against Milford on Sunday, April 10th.

The Minor Boys Div. 1 football team had no game on Sunday v Glenswilly, it will be refixed for this week, keep an eye on social media for confirmation. The Minor Dev. Team travelled to Red Hugh’s on Monday and were beaten by a point in a very close game. They host MacCumhaills on Friday evening, throw-in at 6:30pm.

The Minor hurlers went down by a point to MacCumhaills in their opening league game and they travel to Letterkenny Gaels this Thursday. The U14 hurlers had no game last week and they take on Burt this Thursday.

The U14 football leagues are up and running and the Div. 1 (U14) team had a big win over Downings on Friday, they travel to Milford this Friday and then they host St. Michael’s on the Monday (April 4th). The Dev. Team (U13) lost to Buncrana on Friday and were beaten by Termon on Monday. Their next game is on Monday (April 4th) away to Gaels.

Our U12 girls football will commence training on Thursday, April 7th between 6pm and 7pm each week. New members are always welcome.

The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy begins outdoors this Friday, April 1st at 6:30pm. Any new players are welcome to come along and try the games.

The Century Cinemas Sunday Morning Football Academy gets underway outdoors this Sunday, April 3rd at 11am. All coaches are reminded to make sure their membership is paid for 2016 to ensure they are covered by insurance. Why not bring a friend to try out our academies?

The Donegal U21 footballers will take on All-Ireland Champions Tyrone this Wednesday (30th) in Celtic Park. Best wishes to Connor O’Donnell, Conor Morrison and Rory Carr. Throw-in is at 8pm.

The Senior Board Presentation for 2015 takes place on Saturday week, April 9th in the Clubhouse from 8pm. Our U21 hurlers and Junior footballers have medals to collect and Pat Connaghan will become the latest member of our heralded Hall of Fame.

The Clubhouse is available for bookings and is a great venue for your function with our fantastic, upgraded facilities. For bookings contact Niall on 086-306 2893.

There were 2 winners in this week’s Lotto Draw that matched 3 numbers and they win €50 each. Niall Sheridan, Woodlands and John B Doherty, c/o Blake’s Bar. Both tickets were sold by Adrian Shields. The winning numbers were 8-14-15-24. Next week’s jackpot is €2,350.

The club will be running a Masters Golf Competition similar to the very successful one run last year. If you didn’t take part, you missed out – so be sure to get entered this time around. Details will be announced very soon.
