St Eunan’s notes – Girls’ Under-12 team enjoy Cookstown blitz

Well done to our U-12 girls football team who enjoyed a hugely successful Blitz in Cookstown on Saturday last.  The girls performed excellently over the course of a very enjoyable tournament.

The Senior Footballers were defeated by Kilcar in the league at the weekend by 3-12 to 1-10 while the Reserves had a fine win, final score 2-13 to 1-08.

Congratulations to Aideen Kelly and Sinead O’Kane who were part of the Donegal U-15 Camogie side that won an historic All Ireland Shield title in Co.Meath at the weekend.

Hard luck to the U-16 boys football team who were defeated by MacCumhaills after extra time in the Northern Championship final.  The boys now play Kilcar in the county semi final.

The U-13 boys football team travel to Muff this Sunday while the Dev. team are also away, at Burt, both games at 11.45.

Hard luck to the U-13 girls team who lost out to Termon last week.  They now play MacCumhaills in the ‘B’ Championship semi final, provisionally set for 11am in Ballybofey this Saturday.

The U-13 hurlers had mixed fortunes in their games at the weekend, beating Naomh Colum Cille and losing to Eoghan Rua.  They face Kevin Lynch’s and Na Magha this saturday morning from 11.10am.

Thanks to everyone who turned out at Sunday’s Century Cinemas Academy and particularly to the Senior footballers and management who held a meet and greet and coaching session for the Academy children.  A huge crowd was on hand on the day as our future stars got to meet their heroes.

Anyone interested in ordering a sign for the County Final can contact Peter on 086 385 2973, full details on the club facebook page.

Members available to help with the clean up at the Clubhouse are asked to attend at 6pm this Friday evening.  A big turnout is needed in order to prepare for the Denim v Cancer charity fundraiser which takes place on Saturday evening at 8pm (details on facebook).  All help most appreciated.

Anyone interested in taking part in Scór na nÓg should contact the club Cultural Officer, Fergus McGee. Phone: 086 85 44445 or by e-mail tofermcgee@gmail.com Full details on the Club website and Facebook page.

The Hurling Academy continues on Fridays at 6.30pm while the Century Cinemas Football Academy is on Sundays at 11am.  New members are always welcome to both academies.  For more information, please contact Ciaran Maguire, 087 4133372, Eugene Duffy, 086 8430240 or Eunan O’Donnell 087 6775637.

The Clubhouse at O’Donnell Park is now available to book for parties, functions, etc.  Contact Niall on 086-3062893 for further information/bookings.
