Well done to the Under-14 boys football team who defeated Ardara in the County semi final on Monday evening.  They now move on to play Gaoth Dobhair in the County Final on Wednesday, September 2nd, details tbc.
The Senior footballers were defeated by Naomh Conaill in the Championship, going down by 2-12 to 0-08.  The Reserves had a hugely impressive 1-14 to 0-05 win over the same opposition, with Conall O’Boyle the goalscorer.  Both teams face must win games at home to Dungloe in their final group games this weekend.
The Junior footballers defeated St. Mary’s, Convoy in the Junior B Championship quarter final with a fine team display, winning 1-19 to 1-10, the goal scored by Matthew McColgan.
The Under-16 footballers make the short trip to face Letterkenny Gaels in their third Championship game next Monday, August 31st.
Under-13 girls football training is on Thursday from 6pm to 7.15pm.  The girls travel to play neighbours Glenswilly this Saturday morning and are asked to meet at Glenswilly grounds at 10.45am for throw in at 11.30am.
Well done to the under-11 boys footballers who performed brilliantly in their blitz in Claudy, Co. Derry over the weekend.
Hard luck to our players and mentors on the Donegal Senior Ladies team who were narrowly defeated by Armagh in the All Ireland quarter final on Saturday.
The Hurling Academy continues on Fridays at 6.30pm while the Century Cinemas Football Academy is on Sundays at 11am.  New members are always welcome to both academies.  For more information, please contact Ciaran Maguire, 087 4133372, Eugene Duffy, 086 8430240 or Eunan O’Donnell 087 6775637.
The Clubhouse at O’Donnell Park is now available to book for parties, functions, etc.  Contact Niall on 086-3062893 for further information/bookings.
Fixtures and results are available via the links on the Club website homepage.  Any amendments to fixtures etc. will be noted on the club Facebook Page as soon as confirmation is received.
Anyone wishing to include an item in the club notes can email pro.steunans.donegal@gaa.ie before 9pm on Monday evenings.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the Glackin family, Barrack, Newmills on the death of Mr. Finbar Glackin, a hugely popular GAA man who was a life member of St. Eunan’s GAA Club and a stalwart of his home club, Glenswilly.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
This week’s winning lotto numbers were 5,8,9,19. Two people matched 3 numbers, each winning €50: Adrian McClafferty and Brian Cannon, Newmills. Both winners were direct debit. Next week’s jackpot is €1575.
